Zusammenfassung
Das Internet hat fast alle Bereich des Lebens einschneidend verändert, nur der medizinische Bereich ist fast unbeeinflusst geblieben. Natürlich googeln wir beim ersten Husten nach möglichen Grippe-Symptomen, was dazu führt, dass eine Grippe-Welle von Google Flu Trends früher erkannt wird, als von menschlichen Experten.

Das liegt allerdings hauptsächlich daran, dass Diagnosen in codierter Form (ICD 10) an die Kassen gemeldet werden müssen, was ohne Computerunterstützung ziemlich aufwendig ist. Und, dass die Archivierung von Röntgenbildern u.ä. als digitales Archiv viel günstiger und schneller ist als auf Film. Hier dient der Computer also im wesentlichen nur als intelligente Ablage.
