Zusammenfassung
eHealth ist mehr als die Abwicklung medizinischer Prozesse mit technischen Mitteln. Wo steht eHealth heute, wo geht es hin? Die HIMSS – Healthcare Information and Systems Society – wurde bereits 1961 als Non-Profit-Organisation gegründet. Sie veranstaltet unter anderem jährlich Kongresse wie die eHealth Week, die 2015 im Mai in Riga, Litauen, stattfand. mHealth – eine „Teildisziplin“ von eHealth – sei vor fünf Jahren zu früh gewesen und in fünf Jahren zu spät, heute sei der richtige Zeitpunkt. So wurde es in Riga gesehen.
