Zusammenfassung
Englisch ist in vielen Fachgebieten derzeit die vorherrschende Sprache für wissenschaftliche Publikationen. Obwohl dieser Trend in den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften weniger ausgeprägt ist, kann auch hier eine Internationalisierung und Anglisierung der Forschungskommunikation beobachtet werden. Diese Tendenzen wurden von einer Vielzahl von Studien aufgezeigt, die sich u.a. mit dem Aufstieg des Englischen als Publikationssprache (vgl. Ammon 2001), mit dem Einfluss dieser Entwicklung auf Forscherkarrieren (vgl. Flowerdew 2007), aber auch mit den Auswirkungen auf andere Wissenschaftssprachen (vgl. Ehlich 2004 für das Deutsche; Hamel 2007 für Portugiesisch und Spanisch) beschäftigen.
