Zusammenfassung
Im Jahr 2013 trug das Baugewerbe mit 4,7 % zur gesamtwirtschaftlichen Bruttowertschöpfung bei, der Anteil der Bauinvestitionen am Bruttoinlandsprodukt lag bei 9.9 %. Zeitgleich waren 5,9 % aller Erwerbstätigen in Deutschland im Baugewerbe beschäftigt. Demnach lässt sich festhalten, dass die Bauwirtschaft eine Schlüsselbranche in der deutschen Wirtschaft darstellt.
