Abstract

It is the goal of this book to propose an approach with which existing theoretical technology maturity models can be operationalized to allow for valid, reliable, objective and useful statements regarding the maturity of a technology. When it is part of a strategic technology management approach, such a model can be used to obtain strategic advice based on the values of certain indicators. There are plenty of different such approaches, but within the scope of this book only one will be operationalized as a proof of concept.
