Zusammenfassung
Gesundheit, Fitness und ein selbstbestimmtes Leben – das sind die Wünsche, die viele Menschen in Deutschland heute auch mit hohem Alter verbinden. Doch nicht wenige davon werden unter den Versäumnissen aus jungen oder »besten« Jahren leiden: Der Anteil adipöser Menschen ist in den letzten Jahren laut DEGS (Mensink et al.2014) unter jungen Frauen und Männern aller Altersklassen ungebremst gestiegen. Nun muss Übergewicht allein zwar noch nicht krankheitswertig sein.
