Mobilitätsarmut in der sozialwissenschaftlichen Debatte

Zusammenfassung

Mobilität und die Folgen einer eingeschränkten Mobilität haben in den Sozialwissenschaft en an Aufmerksamkeit gewonnen und werden zunehmend als sozialpolitisch relevante Gegenstände untersucht (Lucas 2004, 2012). Auch im Rahmen der Debatte zu Energiearmut spielt Mobilität eine Rolle, wenngleich diese im Vergleich zu Wärme und Strom bisher noch wenig erforscht ist (Sovacool et al. 2012). Dabei gibt es durchaus wichtige Zusammenhänge: Mobilität ist ebenso abhängig von Energie und eine Grundvoraussetzung für Lebensqualität und die erfolgreiche Teilnahme am gesellschaft lichen Leben.
