Abstract
Vor noch nicht allzu langer Zeit verband man mit Schule mit einem Ort, an dem Stühle und Tische in Klassenzimmern so angeordnet werden, wie es für die Weitergabe von Wissen hilfreich erscheint; an dem ein verbindlicher Lehrplan verfolgt wird, der gesellschaftsweit als gültig und sinnvoll für den Eintritt ins Erwachsenenleben erachtet wird. Im zweiten Jahrzehnt des 21. Jahrhunderts haben sich die Dinge verändert. Die Frage nach dem Wesen von Schule ist undurchsichtiger geworden, nicht nur für die Bildungspolitik, sondern auch für Akteure, die Schule jeden Tag neu produzieren. Der Beitrag schildert, wie die Vorstellung von einer Schule, in die man geht und auf die man zählen kann, sukzessive an Selbstverständlichkeit verliert.
