Zusammenfassung
Aufgrund der wachsenden Flut von oft ähnlichen Kommunikationsmaßnahmen von Sponsoren und Ambushern im Rahmen sportlicher Großereignisse, stellt sich aus verhaltenswissenschaftlicher Marketingperspektive die Frage möglicher negativer Kommunikationseffekte aufgrund beschränkter Fähigkeit des Konsumenten zur Informationsverarbeitung.
Der im Folgenden beschriebene originäre Modellansatz dient der Erklärung derartig möglicher negativer Wirkungen von (Sport)Sponsoringund Ambush-Marketing-Maßnahmen auf den Konsumenten und zeigt folglich Gefahren der Verfehlung angestrebter Kommunikationsziele der Werbetreibenden. Es kann gezeigt werden, dass nicht nur die Vielzahl sondern, auch die Qualität der auf den Konsumenten einströmenden Informationsrate durch Sponsoren und Ambusher zur Verwirrtheit des Konsumenten bezüglich der korrekten Wahrnehmung von Kommunikationsaktivitäten der Unternehmen, zu situativer Reaktanz des Konsumenten und dadurch letztlich zu mangelnder Kaufbereitschaft führen kann.
