Supply Chain Management (SCM) besitzt gerade in der Automobilindustrie eine hohe Bedeutung. Die geringe Fertigungstiefe, der hohe Kostendruck und die hohen Anforderungen an die Qualität von Prozessen und Produkten sind Ursachen hierfür.1
