Abstract
The concept of “technological singularity,” a point in time in which artificial intelligence will supersede human intelligence that was made famous by computer scientist and leading transhumanist Ray Kurzweil, is frequently uttered in the same breath with “transhumanism.” However, the Singularity University (SU), cofounded by Kurzweil and entrepreneur Peter Diamandis is, according to people both inside and out, not about the Singularity and not a university. It is certainly not specifically for transhumanists, and it does not teach transhumanism as such.
