Zusammenfassung
Interne Kommunikation hat aus Sicht der funktionalen PR-Forschung zahlreiche Aufgaben und erbringt mannigfache Leistungen für die Organisation, z. B. Anweisungen zu unterstützen, zu motivieren oder Orientierung zu geben. Wie sich ihre Bedeutung und Aufgabenzuschreibungen jedoch nach verschiedenen Beziehungskonstellationen und Situationen im komplexen Organisationsalltag unterscheiden, wird oftmals nur in Ansätzen diskutiert. Der Beitrag rekapituliert die Rolle, die die funktionale PR-Forschung der internen Kommunikation bislang zuschreibt, und diskutiert bestehende Systematisierungen. Er schlägt auf Basis strukturationstheoretischer Überlegungen einen beziehungsorientierten, situativen Analyserahmen vor und zeigt auf, wie die Rolle interner Kommunikation je nach Beziehungstyp und -situation differenziert werden kann: von konstituierend wie z. B. in Veränderungssituationen bis zu unterstützend wie z. B. in eher autoritär geprägten Beziehungen. Der Beitrag diskutiert nicht zuletzt, inwiefern Gestaltungsanspruch und -spielraum interner Kommunikation in unterschiedlichen Interaktionszusammenhängen zusammengehen.
