Zusammenfassung
Das Gesundheitssystem in Deutschland steht im 21. Jahrhundert vor großen Herausforderungen. Durch die zunehmende Alterung der Gesellschaft und eine mit dieser Entwicklung einhergehende Zunahme an chronischen Krankheitsverläufen wird das Gesundheitswesen zukünftig auf eine harte Probe gestellt. Der Einsatz von IKT im Gesundheitswesen, auch E-Health genannt, soll dabei behilflich sein, die Herausforderungen bewältigen zu können.
