Zusammenfassung
Versorgungsforschung stellt neben der Grundlagen-, der translationalen und der klinisch-evaluativen Forschung die vierte Stufe des Innovationstransfers in der Gesundheitsversorgung dar. Gleichzeitig bildet die Versorgungsforschung in vielen Fällen die erste Stufe einer Problemdefinition, indem sie in der Versorgung relevante Fragestellungen definiert, beschreibt, operationalisierbar macht, untersucht und eventuell für die anderen Forschungsebenen aufbereitet. Die Versorgungsforschung ist durch Ergebnisorientierung, Multidisziplinarität und –professionalität sowie durch Patientenorientierung charakterisiert. Ihr Gegenstand besteht in der Beschreibung und Analyse der Kontextfaktoren der Gesundheitsleistung, die zusammen die gesamte Versorgungsleistung ergeben.
