Zusammenfassung
Die Gesundheitskommunikation setzt sich mit den sozialen Bedingungen, Folgen und Bedeutungen von gesundheitsbezogener und gesundheitsrelevanter, intendierter und nicht-intendierter, intrapersonaler, interpersonaler, medialer und öffentlicher Kommunikation auseinander. Diese Definition resultiert aus einer Begriffsdiskussion im ersten Teil dieses Beitrags. Der Kommunikationswissenschaft kommt hier eine zentrale Rolle zu. Viele Fragestellungen lassen sich als Anwendungsfälle des Faches betrachten und anhand seiner Systematisierungen einordnen. Hierauf geht der zweite Teil ein.
