Zusammenfassung
Der dargestellte Zertifizierungsprozess ist für alle Managementsysteme nach ISO charakteristisch. Im Bereich der UMS gibt es neben der ISO 14001 noch einen zweiten internationalen Standard, das Environmental Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). EMAS ist hauptsächlich auf die EU orientiert und eine Rechtsverordnung, deren Umsetzung freiwillig ist.
