Zusammenfassung
Wie beeinflusst die Nachrichtennutzung die politische Partizipation Jugendlicher? Auch wenn diese Frage eine beachtliche Geschichte in der Kommunikationsforschung hat, ist eine Antwort unter den heutigen Multikanal-Bedingungen und innerhalb des Sozialisationsprozesses alles andere als einfach. Es ist daher hilfreich, die gegenwärtige Situation aus der Perspektive der Mediatisierung, welche auf die Entgrenzung der Medienkommunikation verweist, zu analysieren. Wird der politische Sozialisationsprozess im Rahmen der Mediatisierung betrachtet (Delli Carpini 2004, Saxer 2012, Schulz 2014; Shehata/Strömbäck 2014), so gelangen nebst den klassischen Ma ssenmedien als Bereich der Sozialisation auch Nachrichtenquellen aus dem Internet ins Blickfeld.
