Zur Notwendigkeit der Berücksichtigung formaler Prozessdimensionen

Zusammenfassung

Die systematische Beschreibung und detaillierte Erklärung von Internationalisierungsprozessen können zu den originären und dabei auch identitätsstiftenden Aufgaben der Lehre vom Internationalen Management gezählt werden. Diese hat sich im Sinne einer betriebswirtschaftlichen Teildisziplin, welche auf das Realphänomen grenzüberschreitender Unternehmensaktivitäten und die damit einhergehende Notwendigkeit einer integrativen bzw. koordinativen Handhabung von Herausforderungen durch unterschiedliche Umwelten zielt, inhaltlich sowie institutionell im Wesentlichen erst ab den 1960er-Jahren zunächst in den USA entwickelt. Als wohl die erste diesbezügliche Bestandsaufnahme von Forschungsprojekten haben die Buchveröffentlichung von Nehrt, Truitt und Wright bzw. der daraus abgeleitete Beitrag von Wright im Rahmen der Inaugural-Ausgabe der JIBS (Journal of International Business Studies), beide im Jahre 1970 erschienen, zu gelten.
