Abstract
Ethanol, perchloric acid (70%), chromium (VI) oxide, phosphoric acid, copper (II) chloride dihydrate, hydrochloric acid (30%), nickel (II) chloride hexahydrate, nickel (II) sulfate hexahydrate, boric acid, sodium hydroxide, sulforic acid (96%), hexachloroplatinic acid hexahydrate (30 - 40% Pt), potassium dihydrogen phosphate, diethylzinc, trimethylaluminum and ferrocene (purity = 99%) were purchased from Sigma Aldrich, Alfa Aesar, ABCR and VWR and used as received. Water was purified in a Millipore Direct-Q System for the application in electrolytes. Aluminum plates (99.99%) were supplied by SmartMembranes. For planar substrates, Si (100) wafers covered with an oxide layer were purchased from Silicon Materials Inc.
