Abstract

In this study, public opinion or, in other terms, the public agenda is understood as the salience of issues and policy concerns in the citizen’s perception. In section 3.2.2.3., I have described how to match the policy issues stated by survey respondents in the ‘most important problem’ question to the policy coding scheme used for the analysis of parties’ communication.
