Die Top-Down-Modellierung stellt eine grundlegende Modellierungstechnik zum Erstellen von Baugruppen dar. Hierbei wird die Baugruppenstruktur ohne geometrisch vorhandene Komponenten angelegt und danach die Komponenten erzeugt und detailliert.
