Zusammenfassung
Luxus ist ein inflationär verwendeter Begriff, dessen wahre Bedeutung und Werthaltigkeit nur selten erfasst wird. Angesichts vielfältiger Herausforderungen in einem sich ständig verändernden Marktumfeld stehen Manager von Luxusmarken vor der Aufgabe, die wahren Werte von Luxus in erfolgreiche Geschäftsmodelle zu übersetzen. Um jedoch eine „echte“ Luxusmarke deutlich und nachhaltig von Premium-Marken oder Fast-Fashion-Styles abzugrenzen und im Wettbewerbsumfeld erfolgreich zu positionieren, sind eine genaue Definition der zugrundeliegenden Werte von Luxus und der jeweiligen Marke kritische Erfolgsfaktoren. Basierend auf einem mehrdimensionalen Verständnis des Luxuskonzepts fokussiert der vorliegende Beitrag auf die konsumentenseitige Wahrnehmung grundlegender Nutzendimensionen und die Auswirkungen für das erfolgreiche Management von Luxusmarken. Die multidimensionalen Komponenten des Luxuswertes bilden eine geeignete Grundlage für die Luxusmarkenführung in einem globalen Ansatz mit lokalen Besonderheiten.
