Zusammenfassung
Seit etwa einer Dekade ist eine umfangreiche Auswanderungsbewegung von Deutschen zu verzeichnen. Wurden 2002 noch 117.683 Fortzüge registriert, waren es auf dem Höhepunkt dieser Auswanderungswelle im Jahr 2007 bereits 161.105 (Statistisches Bundesamt 2013). Im Jahr 2012 lagen die Fortzugszahlen dann bei 133.232 (ebd.). Damit ist Deutschland in den letzten Jahren zu einem bedeutenden Auswanderungsland in Europa geworden.
