Zusammenfassung
Soziale Netzwerke wie Facebook stellen für viele Unternehmen mittlerweile eine beliebte Plattform im Rahmen einer wertorientierten Markenkommunikation dar. In dem Beitrag „Are social media replacing traditional media in terms of brand equity creation?“ (Bruhn et al. 2012, S. 770 ff.) gehen die Autoren sogar der Frage nach, ob Social Media traditionelle Medien als Kommunikationsplattform vollständig ablösen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen allerdings, dass die Medien ihre jeweiligen Stärken im Wertschöpfungsprozess der Markenkommunikation haben. Eine crossmediale Strategie ist daher sinnvoll, um wirksam mit Konsumenten zu kommunizieren. Doch wie gehen traditionelle Medien, die ja auch etablierte Marken sind, selbst mit dieser Entwicklung um? Welche Chancen bestehen durch die interaktiven Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten neben eventuellen Kannibalisierungsgefahren? Und wie können Medienmarken in Sozialen Netzwerken wertorientiert geführt werden?
