Zusammenfassung
Im Bereich der Fast Moving Consumer Goods besitzt das POS-Marketing im stationären Handel seit geraumer Zeit eine unverändert hohe Bedeutung. Die Frage, welche Produkte und Marken im Einkaufswagen landen, wird in vielen Fällen erst am Point of Sale beantwortet. Dies belegen verschiedene Studien. Das Marktforschungsinstitut Ipsos hat beispielsweise identifiziert, dass 43 Prozent der Produkt- und Markenwahlentscheidungen eines Shoppers spontan in der Einkaufsstätte erfolgen (Havemann 2014). Glaubt man einer Studie der Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung, liegt der Anteil der sogenannten Instore Decisions sogar bei knapp 70 Prozent (GfK 2012). Auch wenn die Wahrheit irgendwo dazwischen liegen mag, belegen diese Zahlen die Notwendigkeit des gezielten Einsatzes von POS-Marketinginstrumenten in den stationären Verkaufsstellen des Lebensmitteleinzelhandels sehr deutlich.
