Zusammenfassung
Auf die Frage, was die Effektivität und Effizienz in großen Organisationen hemmt oder welche Aspekte eventuell eine (höhere) Führungsposition unattraktiv machen, antworten Führungskräfte häufig: „die politischen Spielchen“. Im Spannungsfeld von Macht und Mikropolitik befindet sich vor allem die Mittlere Führungsebene, da sie mit Organisationsmitgliedern aller Hierarchiestufen im Kontakt steht und in eine Vielzahl von Entscheidungsprozessen eingebunden ist – dies gilt unabhängig von Branche bzw. Organisationsform. Wie gehen die Mittleren Führungskräfte mit Macht und Mikropolitik in ihrem Umfeld um: Wollen sie „mit dem Kopf durch die Wand“ oder „stecken sie ihn lieber in den Sand“? Welche Strategien schaden der Organisation und welche fördern eventuell sogar den Unternehmenserfolg? Und nicht zuletzt: Was kann man tun, um die negativen Effekte von Macht und Mikropolitik so gering wie möglich zu halten?
