In Kapitel 2.4 wurde die kotierte Projektion neben der Zweitafelprojektion und der Axonometrie als eine Methode vorgestellt, um die Rekonstruktion eines räumlichen Objektes bei Parallelprojektion aus der Zeichnung zu ermöglichen.
