Discussion and Conclusion



The general idea of Break-Glass is not new, on the contrary, a lot of research has been done (as we have shown in chapter 8). The overall goal of this thesis was to provide a generic Break-Glass model and to demonstrate along the whole life cycle of a Break-Glass access that Break-Glass can contribute to the improvement of both the security and the usability of Information Technology (IT) systems. We see five main contributions.
