Zusammenfassung
Veranstaltungen, wie Volksfeste, Sportereignisse oder Festivals, ziehen regelmäßig viele Zuschauer in ihren Bann. Beispielsweise besuchen jährlich rund 3,5 Millionen Menschen das Cannstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart (vgl. in.stuttgart 2012) oder verzeichnet jedes Spiel der ersten deutschen Fußball-Bundesliga durchschnittlich 45.000 Zuschauer vor Ort. Festivals, wie das Wacken Open Air oder Rock am Ring, wurden im Jahr 2013 von 75.000 (vgl. Niasseri 2013) bzw. 80.000 Musikfans (vgl. Züll 2013) nachgefragt. Einerseits haben solche hohen Besucherzahlen positive Wirkungen für alle Beteiligten. Für die Konsumenten kann die Anwesenheit mehrerer Menschen an einem Ort mit verschiedenen als angenehm empfundenen Effekten einhergehen, wie bspw.
