From Organizing a Network of Researchers to a Support System for Ontology-based Distributed Organizing

Part of the Markt- und Unternehmensentwicklung Markets and Organisations book series (MAU)

This chapter further develops the prerequisites for a support system for ontology-based distributed organizing as conceptual theory. First, the design science approach towards creating artifacts and theory in information systems is introduced (2.1). This includes the iterative development of an artifact and its evaluation. So, second, the development of a web-based platform for supporting the distributed organizing activities of the network researched in part IV is presented (2.2). This leads to an overall understanding for the development and scope of ontology-based distributed organizing (2.3).
