Abstract

Large established companies employ various, heterogeneous approaches toward NBC (see chapter 2.4 ‘New business creation (NBC)’ for the definition) in their attempt to accelerate innovative growth and increase future profitability. Due to the lack of academic coverage and guidance for practitioners in the field of NBC, this qualitative study enhances the general understanding of this field based on multiple cases with a special focus on human resources, which are at the center of these endeavors. The observations and findings of this study provide a detailed view on HRM systems in NBC settings.
