Kurzfassung
Die angemessene Einschätzung von datenbezogener Variabilität spielt eine wesentliche Rolle für den Aufbau von Fähigkeiten des informellen statistischen Schließens und die generelle Entwicklung von statistischem Denken. Als Diagnosewerkzeug dafür werden in der vorgestellten Forschungsarbeit die aus anderen Studien bewährten Changepoint- Detection-Aufgaben verwendet. Bestehende Ergebnisse zu deterministischen Überzeugungen konnten bestätigt werden; zudem zeigte sich, dass bereits Achtklässler über adäquate Vorstellungen von Variabilität verfügen können. Daraus ergibt sich die Notwendigkeit der frühen Förderung des Umgangs mit und der Einschätzung von Variabilität.
