Abstract
Business Process Reengineering has been defined as:
“The fundamental rethinking and radical redesign of business processes to achieve dramatic improvements in critical, contemporary measures of performance, such as cost, quality, service and speed” (Hammer & Champy 1993: 32).
This definition consists of four central and powerful key words: “fundamental”,” radical”,” dramatic” and “processes”. According to the authors, these key words should be understood as follows.
