Virtuelle Psychophysik Psychologische – Untersuchungen zur räumlichen Wahrnehmung in virtuellen Umgebungen

Abstract

Die klassische Psychophysik beschreibt Zusammenhänge zwischen physikalischen Reizen und menschlicher Wahrnehmung. Die zunehmende Verbreitung und Nutzungsvielfalt von virtuellen Umgebungen macht eine virtuelle Psychophysik notwendig. Diese untersucht die menschliche Wahrnehmung in virtuellen Umgebungen und liefert Parameter für eine möglichst realitätsnahe Visualisierung. Hier wird am Beispiel räumlicher Wahrnehmung dargestellt, dass es in virtuellen Umgebungen zu Fehlwahrnehmungen kommen kann, welche Faktoren diese beeinflussen und welche Untersuchungsmethoden hierfür zur Verfügung stehen. Ergebnisse einer aktuellen psychophysischen Studie werden berichtet. Diese bestätigen den Einfluss der Komplexität der virtuellen Umgebung auf die räumliche Wahrnehmung, speziell den Nutzen einer regelmäßigen Bodentextur und des Tiefenreizes Höhe im visuellen Feld. Für eine Manipulation der Stereobasis konnte kein Einfluss gezeigt werden.
