Zusammenfassung
IFRS 3 beinhaltet Regelungen und Bilanzierungsvorschriften für Unternehmenszusammenschlüsse (Business Combinations ). Ein Unternehmenszusammenschluss stellt ein Ereignis dar, in dessen Rahmen ein Erwerber die Kontrolle über einen oder mehrere Geschäftsbetriebe erlangt. Unter einem Geschäftsbetrieb ist eine integrierte Gruppe von Tätigkeiten und Vermögenswerten, mit deren Hilfe eine Rendite für Investoren oder andere Eigentümer erwirtschaftet werden soll, zu verstehen.
