Abstract
The old highway bridges in Bulgaria are designed at 70’s and 80’s years of twentieth century. The regulations for seismic design and the maps for region with the level of seismic hazard were different from the present standards, harmonized with EN 1998-2. On the base of the survey of 3 bridges and verification of their seismic resistance, a general conclusion for the condition of the Old Bulgarian highway bridges is made.
