Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklung der Hand zu einem komplexen Tast- und Greifwerkzeug war eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für die Leistungsfähigkeit der Menschenarten. Sie ging einher mit der Vergrößerung des Gehirns und führte zur Herstellung verfeinerter und spezialisierter Werkzeuge. An einigen Beispielen sind die einzelnen Konstruktionsschritte bis zur Fertigstellung des Werkzeugs nachvollziehbar.
