Perspektiven zu Führung und Innovation und Validierung eines neuen Instruments zur Messung transformationaler Führung im deutschsprachigen Raum

Zusammenfassung

In der Führungsliteratur finden sich unterschiedliche konzeptionelle Ansätze, die sich dem Zusammenhang bestimmter Formen der Führung und Innovation widmen. Bislang wurden insbesondere die Zusammenhänge zwischen ethischer Führung und Innovation (Yidong und Xinxin 2012), Empowerment und Innovation (Singh und Sargar 2012), Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) und Innovation (Volmer et al. 2012), macht- und einflussbasierter Führung und Innovation (Krause 2004, 2011) sowie transformationaler Führung und Innovation (Den Hartog und Belschek 2012) untersucht. Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es nicht, die Fülle der Studien pro Führungsperspektive in enzyklopädischer Weise zu berichten. Das Anliegen des Kapitels ist es vielmehr, ausgewählte aktuelle Führungskonzeptionen mit Blick auf ihre Relevanz für Innovation zu beschreiben. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf transformationaler Führung; denn die Bedeutsamkeit transformationaler Führung für diverse Erfolgskriterien in Organisationen und speziell für Innovation konnte in zahlreichen Einzelstudien und Metaanalysen bestätigt werden. Als zentrales Messinstrument für transformationale Führung hat sich in Nordamerika der Multifaktor Leadership Questionnaire und im deutschsprachigen Raum sein übersetztes Äquivalent (Felfe und Goihl 2002) e`liert. Wenngleich diese Messinstrumente weit verbreitet sind, ist ihre Konstruktvalidität als unbefriedigend einzuschätzen. Im zweiten Teil dieses Kapitels wird daher eine alternative Konzeption und Messung transformationaler Führung (Rafferty und Griffin 2004) genutzt, die erstmals im deutschen Sprachraum validiert wird. Neben der faktoriellen Validität wird die kriterienbezogene Validität des neuen Messinstruments überprüft. Das Ergebnis der Analysen zeigt, dass die deutschsprachige Variante der alternativen Messung transformationaler Führung eine gute Validität aufweist und die Kriterien gut zu prädiktieren vermag. Zukünftige Forschung sei dazu ermuntert, den Einfluss dieser Konzeption transformationaler Führung im Kreativitäts- und Innovationskontext zu überprüfen.
