Abstract

After more than two decades of reception and discussion of his writings, it can be said that, throughout his work, Michel Foucault fundamentally addressed one question: how formations of knowledge have become truth and the basis for political activity. The objective of his work, he suggests, ‘is to see how men govern (themselves and others) by the production of truth’ (Foucault 1991: 79).
