Transitional Justice in Mexiko: Die konfliktive Aufarbeitung der Verschwundenen

Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag beschreibt den Transitional-Justice-Prozess in Mexiko und stellt dabei die Perspektive und das Handeln der Opfer des Schmutzigen Krieges – der Angehörigen von Verschwundenen – in das Zentrum. Es werden der Konfliktverlauf des mexikanischen Schmutzigen Krieges der 1960er- und 1970er-Jahre und die Implementierung von Transitional Justice Mechanismen ab dem Jahr 2000 skizziert. Den Prozessen der Dehumanisierung durch staatliche Akteure im Schmutzigen Krieg folgten Prozesse der Rehumanisierung der Angehörigen der Verschwundenen. In diesen Prozessen ergeben sich Diskrepanzen zwischen globalen Normen der Aufarbeitung und lokalen machpolitischen Konstellationen, mit denen sich die zahlreichen Konflikte im mexikanischen Transitional Justice-Prozess erklären lassen. Diese werden mit dem Konzept der Transitional Frictions (Hinton 2010) zusammengefasst.
