Abstract

The studies extend previous research on the antecedents of knowledge exchange (Amin & Roberts, 2008; Breu & Hemingway, 2002) to the setting of organizational innovation communities. In general, findings reinforce the importance of research into individual factors impacting knowledge exchange in such communities. Additionally, underlying theoretical rationales are identified for why cognitive and affective states may affect knowledge exchange in the setting of the studies. We now turn to discussing in more detail the implications of key findings.
