Im Rahmen des vorliegenden Kapitels werden die Konzepthypothesen überprüft, indem untersucht wird von welchen Faktoren politisches Vertrauen in neuen Demokratien abhängt – welche Aspekte sich förderlich oder hinderlich auf die Herausbildung von Vertrauen zwischen Bürgern und Institutionen auswirken. Ziel ist es, die im Forschungsstand teilweise kontrovers diskutierten Aspekte erneut zu überprüfen.
