Zusammenfassung

Zur Ausnutzung der Wasserkraft in ökologisch sensiblen Gebieten, in denen kein Aufstau zulässig ist, wird eine kinetische Strömungsturbine entwickelt. Die Turbine besteht aus einem Leitrad, einem Laufrad mit einem Ringgenerator und einem entsprechenden ausgelegten Saugmantel. Ein Prototyp der Anlage ist im St.-Lorenz-Strom in Montreal installiert, liefert ca. 100 kW Strom ins elektrische Netz und arbeitet seit der Installation im August 2010 störungsfrei.

Abstract

In order to use hydro power in ecological sensitive areas, where the damming of the river is prohibited, a hydro kinetic turbine has been developed. The turbine consists of guide vanes, rotor and an outer ring generator. Additionally it is equipped with a draft tube to increase the power output. A prototype of the turbine has been installed into the St. Lorenz river in Montreal. It delivers 100 kW into the electrical grid. Since its installation in August 2010 the turbine runs approximately 8 000 hours without downtime.
