Die 22-stellige internationale Bankkontonummer (International Bank Account Number) enthält ein Länderkennzeichen, die Bankleitzahl und die Kontonummer (BIC). Seit dem 28.1.2008 gelten für alle Verbraucher in Europa einheitliche Regeln für Überweisungen.
