Zusammenfassung
Eine adäquate Berücksichtigung der Alterung in der neoklassischen Theorie der Arbeitsnachfrage erfordert eine dynamische Formulierung. Während des Zeitablaufs altern die Arbeitnehmer, und Jüngere können eingestellt werden. In der mathematischen Formulierung muss zwischen der historischen Zeit und dem Alter der Arbeitnehmer unterschieden werden, was eine Modellierung mit partiellen Differenzialgleichungen erforderlich macht. Der Beitrag erläutert das grundlegende Optimierungsverfahren bei Alterung der Arbeitnehmer und Anpassungskosten und fasst bisherige Ergebnisse zusammen. Die Einstellung von Arbeitnehmern hängt von ihrer gegenwärtigen und zukünftigen Produktivität ab. Unternehmen stellen mehr junge als alte Arbeitnehmer ein, und die optimale Altersstruktur der Beschäftigten hat einen umgekehrt U-förmigen Verlauf. Die demografische Entwicklung in Deutschland erfordert Maßnahmen, die eine höhere Anzahl älterer Arbeitnehmer hinsichtlich der Neueinstellungen und des Bestands vorteilhafter machen. Dazu ist es erforderlich, dass die Grenzproduktivität zum Renteneintrittsalter nicht unter den Lohnsatz fällt.
