Zusammenfassung
Eine von LUHMANNS Thesen lautet: „Fürs Überleben genügt Evolution“ (LUHMANN 1984: 645). Sie war vielfach Anlass für fundamentale Kritik an der Systemtheorie (z.B. SCHARPF 1989; MAYNTZ/SCHARPF 1995), lässt sie doch vermuten, dass sich gewünschte gesellschaftliche Zielzustände oder Entwicklungen sozusagen als natürliche Konsequenz sozialer Evolution ergeben und sich das Fortbestehen der Gesellschaft damit praktisch von allein organisiert.
