Zusammenfassung

Die Notwendigkeit, sich bei operativen Eingriffen mit einer örtlichen Schmerzausschaltung begnügen zu müssen, ist mit der Entwicklung und dem Ausbau der AUgemeinanaesthesie deutlich geringer geworden. Die Verfahren der Lokalanaesthesie werden vernachlässigt, wenig gelehrt und scheinen fast vergessen, obwohl sie bei der Suche nach dem kleinsten Narkoserisiko im Einzelfall sinnvoll mit einbezogen werden könnten.
