End Results of Surgical Treatment of Malignant Melanoma

Abstract

From January 1, 1952 through December 31, 1962, a total of 295 previously untreated patients with malignant melanoma of the skin or mucous membranes were seen at the outpatients’ department of the Institute of Oncology in Cracow. Of these, 187 patients were not treated: 153 had too-advanced disease, 29 refused treatment and 5 were transferred to other hospitals.
