Abstract

In this chapter, we introduce the concepts of smart card software development. We assume that you are familiar with application software development and that we need to cover here only the smart card specifics. We explain the distinction between the on-card and the off-card part of an application and we cover the interaction between both parts. We give an overview of the software development for both parts.
