Diseases of the Blood Vessels

  • Chapter
Dermatology

Abstract

In this chapter we will consider diseases in which malformations, functional abnormalities or inflammation of the arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules and veins play a major role. A certain amount of overlap with other chapters is unavoidable. Some vascular malformations are considered under nevi (Chap. 52), while the role of the vessels is also emphasized in allergic reactions (Chap. 11).
